Quick answer

  • Supercar packages can mean exotic road cars or V8 race cars.
  • Fastrack lists Lamborghini, Ferrari and Lotus drives in Sydney and Melbourne.
  • Check the car, licence requirements and participant limits before choosing.

If the person you're buying for dreams of a Ferrari, a "supercar experience" voucher could put them in a Holden instead. The word is used for both exotic road cars and V8 race cars, so the car model matters more than the package name. Prices and rules were checked on the operators' own sites on 30 October 2026.

DrivingExperiences.com.au is a general information site operated by Dominet BV. We don't sell experiences or vouchers, take bookings or rank operators, and we don't receive payments from operators. Prices, age and licence rules, dates and voucher terms are set by each operator and change often, so check the operator's own page before you buy or book. Facts were checked on 30 October 2026. Read our general information notice. Prices below are as listed on each operator's site on that date.

Two meanings of “supercar”

A supercar driving experience can mean an exotic road car, such as a Lamborghini, Ferrari or Lotus. Fastrack uses the term for those cars and describes the session as a chance to appreciate their driving qualities, rather than race them.

The same word can mean a V8 race car of the kind raced in the Supercars series. Norwell uses Supercars branding for its Holden and Ford V8 experience. Queensland Raceway uses a supercar label for its Mustang and Camaro option.

Our V8 driving experience guide explains that category. For either kind of car, drive laps mean you drive with a coach or instructor beside you. Hot laps mean you ride as a passenger while a professional driver drives.

Lamborghini, Ferrari and Lotus drives in Sydney and Melbourne

Fastrack lists exotic drives at Sydney Motorsport Park's South Circuit and Sandown International Raceway in Melbourne. The Sydney circuit is a 1.8km technical track. The listed cars are the Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari 360 Modena and Lotus Elise.

The Lamborghini and Ferrari use automated shifting. The Lotus is manual, so check the transmission as well as the badge when choosing a package. Fastrack includes a Motorsport Australia accredited coach beside you for every driving lap, with instructions through a headset intercom. No previous track experience is needed.

All prices in this table are Australian dollars per person, as listed on Fastrack's site on 30 October 2026. Sources: Sydney exotic drives and Melbourne exotic drives.

The Monza includes Lamborghini, Ferrari and Lotus drives. Its 12 laps are the package total.

Fastrack advises allowing about three hours for drives, including sign-on, briefing, getting suited up and the laps. Most of that is preparation, not time at the wheel.

Supercar passenger rides

Fastrack lists Rookie Rider GT Track Laps at both Sydney and Melbourne. The package includes two hot laps and costs $79 per person, as listed on Fastrack's site on 30 October 2026. Its general guidance is to allow about 1.5 hours for rides only. The list page didn't name the car used for the GT ride.

At Tailem Bend, The Bend's experience page lists Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car hot laps from $399 per person and Radical Le Mans Car hot laps from $349 per person, as listed on The Bend's site on 30 October 2026. These are passenger experiences. The Bend says no licence is required for its hot laps.

Our hot laps guide explains the passenger format.

V8 “Supercars” drives by city

If you mean a V8 race car, these city guides cover the venues in the checked listings:

Licence and age

Fastrack's general driving rules require a provisional or full car licence. Valid international licences are accepted. It lists no separate age limit for drives, but the licence requirement still applies. Its general ride rules also list no age limit, subject to height requirements.

Check the height requirement with Fastrack before choosing a package. Its general FAQ gives a driving range of 152cm to 194cm, while its Sydney experiences FAQ gives 135cm to 194cm for both drives and rides. The general FAQ gives 135cm to 194cm for hot lap rides. The weight requirement is under 130kg.

Fastrack also requires 0.00% blood alcohol and says its experiences aren't suitable for pregnant participants.

Ferrari and Lamborghini outside Sydney and Melbourne

Among the operators we checked on 30 October 2026, the Lamborghini, Ferrari and Lotus drives were listed only in Sydney and Melbourne. The closest options elsewhere were:

  • Perth: V8 Drive Day listed an Aston Martin 5 Drive (5 drive laps) at $649 and Aston Martin Hot Laps 3 (3 passenger laps) at $299, as listed on its site on that date.
  • Adelaide: The Bend listed Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car and Radical hot laps, as passenger rides only.

Other operators may run exotic cars in these cities. We only list what we've checked on the operator's own site.

Before you buy or book

  • Licence and fit: Confirm the driver's licence is accepted and resolve Fastrack's differing height guidance. Check the under 130kg requirement against the intended participant.
  • Dates and time: Check the operator's available dates. Allow for briefing and preparation as well as the laps.
  • Changes: Fastrack lists free changes more than 14 days ahead, a $30 change fee 8 to 14 days ahead and a $50 fee less than 7 days ahead, as listed on Fastrack's site on 30 October 2026. A no-show forfeits the booking.
  • Gifts and expiry: Fastrack vouchers last three years from issue; gift cards last three years from purchase. Bookings, vouchers and gift cards are non-refundable. Vouchers and gift cards can be transferred if the original purchaser gives notice before expiry. See our driving experience gift voucher guide.
